you can kiss my um cough cough "backside". For the guys who dont think Bo is the guy, for the people who question the coaching staff. For the person saying after the VTech game that Matty OHanlon needs to be pulled and we need an all black secondary....you can kiss my dogs backside. Now you will fire back that this was just a 5-3 20th ranked team that NU beat, but i say I DONT CARE this was huge win for the program the corner is being turned. The best i have seen a Nebraska Defense play in YEARS if ever. the offense did exactly what it had to do to win the game. control the clock, dont make mistakes and dont give the game away. That was the most electric 4 quarters i have EVER seen from memorial stadium. usually by the 2nd quarter the blue hairs takeover and the down in front yells come in but after a couple of those early on the crowd stood up and yelled its pants off. very impressive. the halftime ceremony with the former OU and NU players and coaches was insane. overall one of the great nights i have ever had to be a Husker.

Titles are comin folks. PATIENCE. Defense and power football are back in Lincoln, and to stay for a long time. Legate was awesome at fullback, multiple plays where he took on two defenders. This offensive personnell is not built for it, buy they made it work ENOUGH to manage the game. It's obvious Bo had an influence on Wats this week to stick with an offensive game plan that worked, NO IFS, ANDS OR BUTS. Don't turn it over, manage clock, feed Helu, he'll break one or two, and wait for the D to make the one play we needed to get the win. That's not ineptitude or incompetence, that's simply coachin to what you know you have to work with to win the game. I personally think the Defense "deserved" the offense's absence and Henery's missed field goal, they got the opportunity to show on prime time that they are now the best defense in the nation, and that when the offense comes around, this team is gonna be scary good. I'll say it now, Texas better watch over their back, I'll put this D against any O in the country to hold em to less than 10 pionts. The offense will stick with this power game, and with practice on it and adjustments will become a manageable 20 ppg O, and it couldnt a better time to work at it against a Kansas team where the wheels are not only fallen off, but the bus has gone up in flames.

one week ago I stated the baylor game was the best thing that happen to the nebraska program in nebraska won and yet baylor may have woke up the huskers players to the fact they had so many areas of improvements which needs to be made before the olkhoma game. NOW NEBRASKA have defeatedn olkhoma THE FANS ARE COMING OUT AS THEY WERE AFTER THE MISSOURI GAME ALONG WITH THE PRESS and stating THE HUSKERS PLAYERS NEED TO START DECIDING WHICH CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS THEY ARE GOING TO CONDUCT. If these 18 19 and 20 year kids start beleiving this nonsense stalk up a victory for kansas next week. The truth is kanas and nebraska are very close and playing at kansas the game could go either way unless of course they kids start believing they are a great championship team.

exactly, the week after the mizzou game was a little assenine, as many were even talking a possibility of NC talk (as was myself) and remember, there absotely NO PLAYER on this team that would know how to handle that hype from even the national media. It was obvious even the defense showed lack of focus against texas tech. Now do you seriously think the coachin staff will let that happen. again

We could have lost to Baylor if Griffin was playing.

Our conference is way down this year. We were a much better team in 2008 then we are in 2009.

Our offense was much better in 08, but our D is crazy better this year than last.
"we could have lost to Baylor if Griffin was playing." True, but not because of our D. We could have lost several games this year if our offense had screwed up a little more, thankfully our D doesn't get tired. I think they are robots.

There's nothin rudiculous about it. Face the facts, the D has been astonishly dominating against every, yes, EVERY team and every type of offense this season. This defense has it all. Athletes. D-line are runnin down backs from behing. Dillard was a blanket for the superstart demarco murray, and the secondary has been lights out all year. Swagger, Coaching, confidence. It's all there, a total buy in to a system, and a comradery (sp?) like no other. How is it so far fetchec, it's simply a fact to say that 20 point in every gams is enuff to 8-1 right now, no if's, and's or but's about it. If we go up against Texas, they might get to 20 if Shipley takes back a punt or kick. Otherwise McCoy is seein a defense as good if not better than an Oklahoma D that shut him down a few weeks ago. You dont think nebraska can accomplish what OU did in that game. Open your eyes, the Callahan days are done, and happy days are hear again.

our defense does get tired i mean did you see how many guys were cramping up in the OU game i mean they had to have been dehydrated also they played 87 plays on defense and the only reason that it doesnt seem like they get tired is because the nebraska D is beastly

It was a HUGE win and I admit I was way off on my prediction. I knew our defense was good, but I have never seen a defense play with that much gas in the tank. It was amazing. There is nothing wrong with being a little pessimistic and critical though, especially after Iowa State. Good fans criticize. I live in Chicago, and I see what it's like when you have teams with fans so loyal that they are afraid to let their guys have it from time to time (i.e. Cubs, Bears). Troy Aikman sorta called Chicagoans out on that today on National TV.

If I were Texas, I would be a little worried now if NU takes care of business against K-State (I believe that should clinch the North, although I have not done the math yet). Their path to the BCS final will get a lot harder.

I still think the offense needs a lot of work. No more option with Lee please. Even if the D continues to play like they do, it's just not fair to keep them on the field so much. Watching Suh just collapse to the ground in the 4th quarter is a perfect reminder of that. The offense needs to score on its own and take more possessions away from the other guys. Hopefully during these last 3 games, we can get at least 2 offensive TDs per game.

suh collapsed because dennard was hurt but couldnt get our of the game, he made a very heady and leader like call and just fell to the ground to get a hurt player out of the game
