I would say this is perhap a cornerstone game for turning the football program around. however I would caution everyone this team still have so much improvements which need to be made to return the

the program to the status it once had of being a national chanpionship contenter year in and year out. NO NEBRASKA IS NOT AT THIS STATUS AND NEEDS A COUPLE GOOD RECRUITING CLASSES AND SEVERAL AREAS OF IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PROGRAM. However i think everyone would agree we have finally seen some improvements after YEARS OF SEEING THIS P.ROGRAM DECLINE.

I think we also saw a corner turned offensively. Everyone talks about identity, what's the identity of this offense. I really believe they found Saturday night. Tight ends, fullbacks, power game. Helu back to himself. Against anybody other than a defense in OU that is as good if not better than our own, that gameplan is good for 300 yards and 21 points, and you know what, 10 points has become enough lately. I think youre gonna see this type of offense the rest of the season, just manage the game, let the D make a big play or two, wait for Helu to break a long run or two, cuz if you pound away that many times, it's gonna happen sooner or later regardless. Remember, If we score after the 62 yard run, field goal or TD, that game potentially turns into a rout, 2 possessions. ha. Texas Tech game was a coulda, woulda, shoulda, team was not focused and ready to play after the Mizzou game (which as it turns out is not that big a deal anymore, which is humerous) The offense moved the ball quite well against Iowa St. just couldnt punch it in. and the Baylor and Oklahoma games were the ipitime of what we're gonna see that rest of this season. I just think Coach Bo is havin more influence on offensive scheming now that the D is under control to say the least.

Remember, Bo hasn't even made it through year 2 yet. Everybody wants to talk signature win and well, I wont call it that, this was just a hard fought rivalry game win and in my mind that is bigger and badder than a sig win.

you cant call a win a signature win until a proper evaluation time, it might be the end of the season it might be 10 years from now....point being you dont know its a signature win until you can evaluate the body of work after said win

But Iowa State was certainly a signature loss.
