I have to disagree with you on how we can beat ou. I agree that we can't turn the ball over, and that our defence needs to force at least one turnover, and if they can turn it into points that is a plus.

I disagree that we can't have any penalties, I think that we can have some but not to many, something like the I-state game where penalties were really not a factor. As we limited our penalties in that game.

We need to run the ball, it would be great if helu is back to 100% for this weeks game because he is the best we got and is very smart with the football and doesn't turn the ball over. Go with the idea of running the ball I also think that we can't do any slow developing plays or misdirection plays because those oklahoma will eat up in the backfield because they have so much speed.

I also believe that our special teams needs to play well espessially punt and kick coverage and limit there returns to a minimum. Also we need to play well on our returns also a few good returns wouldn't hurt. Also when we get into the redzone we need to CONVERT THESE INTO TOUCHDOWNS!!! Don't be like agianst virgina tech and settle for field goals.

Our defence needs to play good also and not give up the big play down the field, and don't let the convert the third and long as our defence needs to get off the field on third downs.

little to no turnovers or penalties in any game is at the top of the the priority list.
Roy Helu will not be or close to be 100% the rest of the season, his injury requires surgery and he wont get it during the season, and he had two fumbles against ISU but otherwise does a good job of holding onto the ball. I very much disagree with you when it comes to misdirection plays. That should be a key component of the offensive scheme this week, when you have a fast pursuing aggressive defense like OU you have to us misdirection and screen plays to keep them honest, when you keep a team honest and back on its heals then you can start running at 5 or 6 yards a pop and hitting 10 yards out. the key to the offense will be taking an approach like NU did against TTech last year. hold the ball as long as you can converting first down and not let drives stall out. and NU needs to score when its in the red zone not have penalties drive you back, turn the ball over, or settle for FGs every time.

I have taken a new approach the last day or so when it comes to this game. I have decided that instead of concentrating on the hundreds of reason why NU will lose, im going to think about the handful of reasons why they could win. Saturday is supposed to be beautiful in Lincoln, its a game between to traditional powers in college football, and what used to be one of the great rivalries...whats not to love. Lets go guys get pumped up, we are playing OU Saturday! I just have a bad feeling everyone is just mailing this in as a loss already, thats why they play the game on the field not on paper. I know im going to get hammered for blind optimism but i have found myself in a better mood since i have taken the new approach, you should try it.

its time to revaluate why we are fans of Nebraska, is based solely on winning? or is it because we have a deep passion and get great enjoyment out of this program and past time we call college football. Its entertainment and should be enjoyed im tired of letting it bring me down all week when they lose, i have to many other things during the week to worry about. now im not saying winning isnt important because it is, its right up there with having a program that graduates its athletes at a high level and making boys into upstanding you men to further better the community. but sometimes we need to put things in perspective. This program is on the rise and Bo is doing a helluva job, so stay patient and he will get NU back to winning big 12 championships and the occasional appearance in the National championship in no time. This is a young team that has encountered a case of Murphys law this season, we will be alright in the coming years.........I BELIEVE

now lets the pessimists tear me apart but when i stopped caring about what others thought of me on some message the sun shined a little brighter.

I CANT WAIT FOR SATURDAY!

I really like your attitude Jason and I agree. Our program and happiness as fans is not just based just on winning. Winning will happen if our administration, coaches, and players are focused on success on and off the field. Developing these kids into men is one of the biggest jobs Bo and his staff are responsible for. You are right we have one of the greatest rival games in college football Saturday in Lincoln. Let's cheer on our Huskers to victory. GO BIG RED!!! I am looking forward to Saturday also.

Oh, bull, Shawn. Oklahoma is going to decimate theHusker offense. Along with Nebraska, the Sooners are the only Big 12 team to rank among the top-20 teams nationally in rush defense, pass efficiency defense, total defense, scoring defense, sacks and tackles for losses. Cody is the future of Nebraska, but he is not up to the task, yet. This is going to be a real good lesson for Cody, if he starts, but I can only hope he is wearing a flak vest saturday night, 'cause the kid is either going to scramble for his life, or he is going to get beat up pretty badly. Last week the OK defense knocked down Colt McCoy 14 times! No turnovers? No penalties? RUN THE BALL? Are you kidding me? Get real.

We could beat any team if we did that....

If Oklahoma can only play with 8 players on defense because one of their buses simultaneously blew out six tires and could not make it to Lincoln in time. Even then, we might need a couple of OT's to finish it off...

Our offense will have a MINIMUM of three turnovers. We should NOT be starting over at this point in the season. We should be in high octane mode by November, but were not even close...

Truth hurts and the numbers don't lie. I hope we win. I really do, but the fact is Oklahoma is a much better football team than us right now. In total defense, we are 9, but Oklahoma is 11. Pretty equal. In total offense, Oklahoma is 30, while NU is 68. Now here's the killer. Tech is 59 in total defense, while Baylor and Iowa State are 85 and 90 respectively. Our offense performed VERY poorly against those below average defenses. The last two losses showed that home field advantage in Lincoln is no longer a significant factor. Nebraska has serious problems that require serious solutions. The local media in Lincoln knows it, and so does the national media. I like Pelini and will give him time, but I’m not gonna drink the Pelini Kool-Aid just yet either. I know TO can’t be happy either, especially when Georgia Tech is “high school optioning” its way to an ACC title right now…

Run sideways and pitch the rock. TO is like, "hey, I won 2 National Titles as Nebraska OC and 3 National Titles as Nebraska's head coach performing that witchcraft." And his QBs did not have to wear a JC Penny catalog of plays on their wrists…
