I was a little worried about the Seniors leaving. But I looked at the roster yesterday and I really think that I have nothing to worry about. There are alot of great players on the roster and I believe we'll have a kick @$$ team next year. After a...

I agree that this team never gave up, but as for comparisons to past Husker teams, the closest that comes to mind is the '96 team after the back to back national championship years. The reason being, that team was young, especially on offense and ...

Is this rant pointed at KSU or Coach Snyder? I know there are coaches nationwide that bother opposing fan bases, but hey, Coach Snyder made it work the last time he was there, maybe he thinks lightning will strike twice.

The D is going to have to make a few big plays against Texas. Offensively if we do a mix of what we did vs OU and KSU it just might get the job done. I think this one could be a low scoring game and if it is so, that favors NU.

Dear Fellow Husker Fans, Good morning and happy Monday to everybody. I know, I'm not supposed to be so cheerful, but before I get going on the football stuff I need to add a personal note. I have all this week off for vacation. Yes, yours truly i...

This game has that trap feel again. I think more than a few fans are looking past it and already getting ready for Texas. I'm sure Bo will have the team focused and ready to go Friday, we as fans need to be ready as well. This is CU btw, every now...

Favorite Husker Memory:
"Easy, way too easy." - Corey Schlesinger said these words at the victory party at the Devaney Center the day after beating Miami on Jan. 1, 1995. The night before my mom, dad, brother, sister and myself sat in front of the tv and watched that beautiful game. We were down but still it was only 17-9 at the end of 3 quarters. We all believed NU would own the 4th quarter which they did. I do recall I did not sleep that night, in fact I watched the game again and then sat by our front door waiting for the Omaha World Herald to be delivered. The delivery guy gave me our paper, I opened it and read the headline, "NU National Champs" with a awesome picture. At that moment, I put the paper on the dinner table and went to bed for a few hours of much needed sleep after fearing the previous night was just a dream. Go Big Red. Restore the Order.
Watch Husker games at Memorial Stadium or on the Couch:
I have seen 5 at the stadium and many on the couch. I remember the first one I went to and I took my walk man in to hear Kent Pavelka's call. Anyway, we had row 10 seats on the 30 yard line. I was able to hear the pre-game show, but once Sirius started and then the game it was useless. I turned my headphones off, turned to my friend who had the tickets and during a lull in the action I told him I couldn't even hear myself think let alone hear the radio call. Memorial Stadium is the best

Long live the Blackshirts, may they inflict pain on opposing offenses.

Live from BugahaWest: I don't think we're in Manhatten anymore KSU and... A Shout Out to the Seniors on Senior Day

Dear Fellow Husker Fans,

Good morning and happy Monday to everybody. I know, I'm not supposed to be so cheerful, but before I get going on the football stuff I need to add a personal note. I have all this week off for vacation. Yes, yours truly is going to be sitting by the Tv watching football all day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and parts of Saturday until I have to go to work Saturday night. But, enough of the bragging. Before I forget, I wish to wish all you guys, my loyal readers, fellow H… Continue

Live from BugahaWest: KU KO'd

Dear Fellow Husker Fans,

When you woke up Sunday morning and read your local paper what did you see? Blackshirt meltdown in Lawrence. Nope try again. How about, NU offense grows up, gives the D a break and finally wins one. Yes. But before we get into the 4th quarter, let's take a look at the first 3 quarters.

In the first half, things were looking great against KU. The offense went down the field and scored a TD. Yeah, there was the luck of Helu in the end zone on that fumble recovery, but I… Continue

Live From BugahaWest: O U have to Beleive

Dear Fellow Husker fans,

The spread this past weekend was 5 points. How do I know this? Cause I took a quick glance at the spread after picking NU over OU on my yahoo pick'em game (I wont go into more detail on my gaming, just note beyond the game in Lincoln, this weekend stunk). I told you guys in a few discussions you just have to believe and if you don';t fully believe, give your tickets to somebody who does. I told you top to bottom that pretty much NU and OU were equal, great defenses, sha… Continue

Live from BugahaWest: The future is bright, hopefully (OU) Sooner than later

Dear Fellow Husker Fans,

Whew, what a game this past weekend. I was quite excited for this one. I stayed up after work considering the really early start for AZ. (I love DST sometimes). The 9 AM start (for AZ) I thought might have some affect on our Big Red, but for the first half, things were looking great. The D set the tone early with the punt block for TD and offensively, we were doing everything I was hoping for, running the ball well and mixing some good passing by Cody Green. Things were… Continue

Live from BugahaWest: ISU 9, TO 8, NU 7 and some random rants

Dear Fellow Husker fans,

I said it last week that in all of football there is no such thing as a trap game. On any given Saturday, something like this past weekend could happen and you know what, it is gonna hurt big time. I didn't get to watch the game but I did listen to it via satellite radio. It was quite interesting because as I listened to the game I was rebuilding a fence piece in our backyard. I used that frustration to good work, nothing like driving a few three inch nails through a fe… Continue
