There are so many question marks coming into this game I don't know where to start. Will Burkhead play ( I hope not, rest), will the D-line be healed up and ready to go, will we protect the ball, will we fill the gaps and stop Shoelace from racking up some major yards?
Offense: Burkhead sits in street clothes and helps coach the young stable of backs. Martinez is going to target a lot of receivers (at least 10) and will hopefully have a big day statistically. The big question mark in this game is will the O-line be ready to play and will they get a good push and open holes against a tough Defense.
Defense: The D-line is pretty banged up and Meredith will probably be switching around from end to tackle again this week. I expect to see a lot of Corey Cooper and Ciante Evans focusing on Robinson and trying to keep him from running wild. If the secondary can keep the receivers locked down Robinson could be running for his life instead of for Touchdowns.
Fearless Prediction: With the assistance of some great blocking from the O-line and the receivers Ameer goes over 100 and scores twice. Eric Martin gets loose early and gives Robinson a shot that makes him question the idea of running again. Compton gives Robinson a second shot which leaves him hobbling. Martinez's arm opens up the run and the Huskers win on a last second field goal by Maher (he's due).
I'm picking a lower than average score this week for a change
Robinson's passing game has been off and his legs will be the main threat to an improving blackshirt squad
Michigan has a stout defense but the huskers will put up enough points IF we don't self destruct
they have a pretty dependable kicker inside of 40 yds
high octain grain 27
blue crew 20
the blackshirts seal the victory with a last minute interception
Well, this might be the Kool-Aid talking, gulp, gulp, gulp, but I'm predicting a Husker blowout!
Michigan - 35
Huskers - 31
It worked last week when I picked Northwestern. GBR!
Huskers are 36-5 all time in night games at Memorial Stadium.
Make it #37.
Huskers vault back into the top 25 with an exciting win under the lights.
Big Red Corn Pones 24
Meatchicken Weasels 17
corn 42...meatchicn 27
Good. 37 is one of my luckiest numbers. It was meant to be.
Scarlet & Cream - 38
Maize and Blue - 31
Nebraska's inability to convert on 3rd down will haunt them. This has been a problem all year and Michigan will gameplan around it.
Hey, you called it. Be sure to pick MSU next week.
Blackshirts keep Michigan out of the endzone while Ameer, Bell, and Martinez picked apart a good Defense. Great Win at Home. Lets hope the boys carry it over to State next week. Go Big Red!!!!!!!
Yes a great win. My prediction sucked. For that I am happy.
The defense showed up tonight. If Denard had not gotten hurt, the score might have been closer but Neb still would have won. I am certain of that.
