We've been hearing it all week that Nebraska is in the "Drivers seat" in the Legends Division with their wins over Michigan, Northwestern, and Michigan State. With a win this weekend against Penn State it's almost a guarantee that the Huskers will be playing in their first Big 10 Title Game.
Offense: I think T-Money is going to have to use his arm a little more than his legs this weekend against a tough Penn State Defense. Penn State hasn't been giving up a lot of points this year and it is going to be tough for the Huskers to score. With the first TD catch of his career Turner is reported to be flying high in practice and is poised to have a big game at home. Bell and Enunwa will also get in on the action and Kyler Reed will have another TD catch this weekend. Ameer is a little banged up and it's still unclear if Superman will be making his return so Heard and Cross could get a couple big carries. When all is said and done if Nebraska can take care of the ball and limit the Turnovers they can beat anyone.
Defense: A lot of people were giving up on the Defense after two, shall we say "God Awful", performances against UCLA and Ohio State. Since that time the D has been playing with more confidence and maturity and have started to look like the Blackshirts of old. The secondary is going to have to be on their game against a good QB and some solid receivers. If the D-line can get some pressure on McGloin early they can force him into making some mistakes that the Offense capitalize on (Gotta win the turnover battle).
Big Red: 31
NIttany Kitties: 17
Fearless Predictions: Martinez enters the Heisman talk with a big day both throwing and running. Burkhead makes a "Willis Reed" like return, but not until next week. Andrew Green steps up with a big pick which gives the Huskers a huge swing in momentum.
Penn St. - 17
Huskers - 16
Continuing with the picking the opposing team is good luck concept. GBR!
This will be another game that leaves Husker fans smiling and proud of their team......should be a fun game to watch!
It's gonna go down similar to the Michigan game. We win by at least 10.
Penn State 20
I just hope we can start hanging on the ball on Offense. I think we have a great shot at finishing the season without a loss and winning the Big Ten title. Not bad for our second year in the conference with undoubtedly the toughest Big Ten conference schedule this year.
I don't think there is too much funny about Penn State at this point, so no jokes this week.
Huskers renewed confidence shows, but it's still another B1G fist fight 'til the end. We are the kings of the 4th quarter lately, so I like our chances.
Big Red 4-Quarter Intensity - 29
Natty Lions Bad Vacation to Lincoln - 17
GO BIG RED!!!!!!
PSU will have difficulty moving the ball against one of the best secondaries in the country and while their defense is very good the Huskers will get enough points
high octain grain 27
plain white hats 10
Bill O'Brien has done an amazing job with Penn St under the circumstances. Another hard hitting game, turnovers will play a big part to determine who wins the game.
Penn St 20
We've now had our last 2 wins handed to us by the Big 10 officials.
TDs by both MSU and PSU taken off the board for no apparent reason.
Is this season another parting gift for Ozzy?
It is not like the Huskers have never been screwed at crucial points of important games in the past. They have big time. It is about time we get some breaks. I don't think the Huskers have anything to apologize for. Big wins in big games and if Penn State or MSU have to go back and whine because of one play the refs screwed them on then shame on them for letting it get to that. Besides, who is to say Nebraska would not have won the Penn State game even if that call had gone the other way? No team, except Ohio State, has been able to stop the Huskers in the 4th quarter.
And, by the way, we might as well enjoy this because Ohio State is going to own the Big Ten when their probation is over. I hope Bo is recruiting kids that can beat the Buckeyes because that is what it is going to take.
