I've never once said fire Bo Pelini, but even his biggest defenders have to admit that, barring some dramatic turnaround, he's on the hot seat now. Two weeks to prepare for Minnesota and this is the product we see?! Come on.... There is just something about seeing him being paid as much as Mark Richt and Jimbo Fisher that I find unsettling.
This could get ugly here, and next year we'll have a new QB, a new offensive line, the same bad defense, and a recruiting class with far less talent than the previous class. Ouch for the future.....
By the way, I flew in for the Illinois game. Minus the freezing swirling winds, it was a good time. It was fun pre-gaming with NU and UI fans the night and morning before kick-off and hitting the bars afterward. It was also nice to see NU fans cheer on the Illinois team bus in respect as it left the stadium. I just sense they'll be cheering on Bo Pelini's bus at the end of the season....
So I wonder if Chris Petersen is looking to make a move? (sorry, getting ahead of myself)
Tom, not that I don't think there needs to be a change but what is the fascination with Petersen. He is 5-3 in the Mountain west. He did well with the previous coaches recruits. However they are not a good football team right now. Sounds kind of similar to what we have just gone through. Not saying I have the answer, but I keep hearing his name and I just don't get it.
The way that Iowa played Ohio State is scary. A #45 recruiting class (so far) is scary. Some tough teams ahead is scary. Halloween is here for Bo.
None of the Nebraska teams head coached by Bo Pelini has been the team they should have been. They are known for sloppy football. What is more, he is a bad reflection on the school when he rips into officials and gets so awkward and hostile with the press. I hope that this is his last season as the Husker leader.
Bo is an ass plain and simple. Ditto for Carl...thank God he is gone.
With Texas A&M moving to the SEC and, even more suprisingly, playing well in the SEC our Texas pipeline is certain to take a hit. The move to the BIG 10 hurts. The emergence of Baylor hurts too. Would these kids rather play in the SEC or stay in state to beat Texas? The Horns are droppin like flies too.
Fire BO! First here to say it. Still sayin' it.
This ain't your daddy's UNL football program...not even close!
