I am new to this group. I have lived here in Nashville for 9 years and am excited to possibly have a place to watch games with my fellow Husker fans. Is watching the games and the Frayed Knot still on for the season?

Hey Nashville Husker Fans!

The first game of the season is almost here! I am sure you guys are just as excited as I am for this season which is looks like a good one!

In case you haven't hear we have a new location for the 2010 season. We are going to be watching the games at the Frayed Knot! I've worked out a deal with the bar so we will be able to watch all the games there this season.

As a part of that deal we will be splitting the cost of the PPV games with the bar. Since PPV games are much more expensive for a bar to purchase than they are to purchase at home, I am asking that everyone chip in $5 a person so I don't have to pay for our half by myself.

Please let me know if you are going to be able to make it, I need to give the bar an estimate about how many people are going to be there, just so we have enough space! You can e-mail me at

I can't wait to see everyone!

Just a reminder we are watching the Holiday Bowl at the Crow's Nest in Green Hills tonight. The game starts at 7:00! I hope to see you all there!

Hi Everyone -

I am looking for a new location for us to watch the Huskers play next season and I could use some help. If you know of any place that I should check out please let me know.

I would really like to do a test run with a new place for the Bowl game on the 30th.

Here are some things to keep in mind:
1. We need a location that will be willing to pass up playing a SEC game for the Nebraska game (a less popular bar/grill would probably be more likely to accommodate us). We average about 45-50 a game but have had up to 85, and there are about 150 people on my e-mail list.

2. I would like to keep it fairly central, we have people that come from all sides of Nashville.

3. There are also families that come to watch some of the games, so we need to make sure that it is a family friendly place.

4. The parking situation is also something that we need to be mindful of.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

The Closing Bell is non smoking and you are welcome to bring your kids. I think that there are going to be some other kids there. It is a bar, so you might want to keep that in mind. We would love to have you join us!

Sorry but we will not be able to make it to the game this week. I ended up having an emergency surgery this week & I am still not able to venture out. I do wish we could be there so badly. I just hope I can control myself at home so I don't rip open my stitches. Enjoy the game & yell GOOOO BIGGGG REDDDDD for me! Thanks & will be thinking of all my husker friends. If we win I am going to wishing I was down on 72nd & Dodge. That's were the party will be.

Hey Husker Fans!

This Saturday is the Big 12 Championship! The game starts at 7:00, and we will be watching it at the Closing Bell!

I thought that it would be fun to have some Nebraska game day food for the game! So for this game we will have mini Runzas and Fairbury Hot Dogs! (My parents drove here from Colorado for Thanksgiving and were kind enough to make a stop in Nebraska for some food!)

Hopefully this will be a good game!

PLEASE let me know if you are going to make it so I will know how much food to bring!

I can't wait to see you all there!
