My favorite Husker memory is the night of January 1st, 1995 when the top ranked Huskers made the dreaded trip to Miami, Florida and the Orange Bowl. The Huskers faced the #3 Miami Hurricanes. From previous heartbreaking losses and what seemed like countless bowl trips the Huskers finally prevailed giving Tom Osborne his first national title as the Huskers came back trailing 17-9 in the fourth quarter to defeat the Hurricanes 24-17. My entire family had gathered at my aunt and uncle's house for food and the game. With the victory in hand and new snow fresh on the ground, the occasion called for clothes-less snow angels by the men of the family. I will always remember this moment as the Huskers finally got off the snide and this certainly was the beginning of the dominance for the team of the 90's.
Town I Currently Live In (City, State):
What Position did Turner Gill play:
I prefer to be in the stadum no matter home or away. I have become an avid traveler to away games as of late, with the last being the 2009 Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida. There is still no feeling quite like the Sea of Red at Memorial Stadium and when that place gets rockin for the tunnel walk there is simply no other place that compares. There really is NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!!!!!
